I found (this article https://www.ssense.com/en-us/editorial/fashion/do-androids-dream-of-balenciaga-ss29) to read for this response. I found it interesting because it makes you question how hard an artists job really is. In short the article talks about a 19 year old kid who made an algorithm that uses AI to generate images that look like Balenciaga fashion show runways, with surprisingly good accuracy. It makes me wonder if there is even truly a need for human creatives at a certain point in an artists career. Obviously this has been a highly debated topic for years now, but for me, this article puts a bit of a twist on it. If a (human) artist can create a brand/ unique fingerprint in the art world, could a computer continue that legacy after the artist has passed on?
I also found this article interesting because of how young the person who made the algorithm was. Supposedly the person who made it was 19 at the time. I see this as a pretty important step in the art, and science world, because I feel as if there has usually been a gap between the "artist", and those who are still in school (or training of any kind). but only recently has that gap been slowly merging toghter, making it so no one is truly one or the other
